Jet Airways is India’s premier private airlines. It was established in April 1992 as an air taxi service. The airlines started commercial operations in 1993. Jet Airways was granted scheduled airline status in 1995 and its first international operation started with a flight to Sri Lanka in March 2004. Jet Airways started its service with four leased Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

Jet airways has a fleet strength of 95 and includes aircrafts such as Airbus 330-200, ATR 72-500, Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-800 which is the largest in number at 42 aircrafts. The fleet also contains 2 Boeing 737-900 and 10 Boeing 777-300ER. The number is inclusive of aircraft under different types of leases to other companies.
